The Reading Hospital and Medical Center’s Library Services Department provides information resources and services to the Medical Staff, residents, employees, and students of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. The library is open by appointment to other community members. It is located on E-Ground.
The library contains more than 10,000 books, 260 journal titles, audiocassettes, videos, and CD-ROM programs. The library actively collects updated materials in the area of clinical medicine, nursing, and allied health and healthcare management.
In 1988, the Library was dedicated in the memory of Elaine G. Dunitz as a source of inspiration, support, and education for people living with a chronic or life-threatening illness. Located in the Hospital’s Library Services Department, this special collection of books and other materials is available to patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community members.
The library has available OVID, MEDLINE, CINAHL, MICROMEDEX, COCHRANE LIBRARY, and UptoDate. Access to other health information is available through the library internet.
The library has trained professional staff to help patrons find the information they need.
The Reading Hospital Regional Cancer Center provides a comprehensive array of outpatient, cancer treatment, and educational services.
