Physical Therapy Services

Quality physical therapy services are provided by a caring team of physical therapy professionals. Physical therapy services are available for the acute hospital inpatients, outpatients, as well as patients admitted to the transitional care and rehabilitation units. The physical therapist evaluates each patient to determine muscle strength, joint motion, balance, coordination and ability to perform typical activities of daily living, such as walking, standing, rolling.

Outpatient Physical Therapy

The Hospital’s outpatient department offers physical therapy services for a variety of problems. These include:

  • rehabilitation of orthopaedic injuries and pain in the back, neck, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, foot and ankle
  • rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery or after cast removal
  • treatment of neurological conditions that may occur after stroke or with Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis.
  • wound care
  • Decongestive therapy and massage for lymphedema
  • ultraviolet light therapy for psoriasis

Patients are seen by appointment only and must have a physician’s prescription/referral in order to be seen.
