Cancer Center

Read Lee's StoryFacing a diagnosis of cancer is one of life’s most difficult challenges. At The Reading Hospital, we offer multidisciplinary cancer care combined with a wide range of patient support programs and services in our Regional Cancer Center.

Our decades of experience in cancer treatment, our expert team of specialists, and our state-of-the-art technology allow us to provide excellence in cancer care - one patient at a time. The McGlinn Family Regional Cancer Center focuses on exceptional clinical care while providing patient support and education, reaching out to the community through screenings, risk assessments, prevention programs, and by participating in the most promising clinical trials.

The Cancer Center is named after the family of Terrence J. McGlinn, former Hospital Board Chairman, who generously endowed the Regional Cancer Center in 2004.

The Regional Cancer Center has been granted a three-year approval with Commendation by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons. This approval is based on evaluation of 36 standards representing the full scope of our cancer program including cancer committee leadership, cancer data management, clinical services, research, community outreach, and quality improvement. The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons certification validates our commitment to meeting or exceeding national standards that have been established to assure that patients receive the very best care at our Regional Cancer Center.
