Clinical Pastoral Education Program

The Reading Hospital Department of Chaplaincy Services offers the following Clinical Pastoral Education programs:

• Summer Internship: For Theological Students, Clergy and Qualified Lay Applicants
• Extended Internship: Fall through Winter for Theological Students, Clergy and Qualified Lay Applicants
• Chaplain Residency: A one-year paid professional training program for careers in chaplaincy.

Our curriculum and supervised clinical pastoral experiences focus on the development and refinement of pastoral care and counseling skills that are theoretically informed and pastorally effective.

The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) re-accredited our program in 2005 for ten years with commendation.
