two years in a row (2008 & 2009)
Cardiovascular disease is the number one health issue facing Americans today. Combating the epidemic of cardiovascular disease is the number one priority of Marlin Miller, Jr., Regional Heart Center.
The Heart Center has been named after Marlin Miller, Jr., former Hospital Board Chairman, who endowed the Regional Heart Center in 2004.
Finding out that you or a loved one has cardiovascular disease can be very frightening. When medical attention becomes necessary, you will find a full range of comprehensive cardiac care services at our Regional Heart Center. We offer prevention programs, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services, and complete cardiac rehabilitation. Our interdisciplinary team
approach to heart care allows us to rapidly mobilize all available resources to treat the patient's heart problems. Our use of evidence-based treatment guidelines promotes consistency of care and positive patient outcomes.
With four decades of experience in advanced heart care, the Heart Center has introduced many firsts in heart care to Berks County. From the first EKG to open heart surgery and drug eluting stents, our commitment to providing excellent cardiac care remains strong. But we are not just about services within our four walls - we are also committed to making our community a heart-healthy place to live. We sponsor free heart lectures and screenings to increase awareness about heart disease and encourage people to seek help earlier, which positively impacts the treatment outcome.
Regional Heart CenterThe mission of the Regional Heart Center is to provide a full range of heart services, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cardiac rehabilitation, to the people of Berks County and beyond.
