Focusing on providing personalized, patient-centered care, our Multidisciplinary Cancer Clinics bring surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurse navigators, oncology nurses, and other specialists together in one room to discuss your individual treatment plan. This approach promotes open communication and assures that the best treatment options are presented.
Treatment is provided by experienced oncology professionals who include board-certified physicians, certified oncology nurses, and specially trained support staff. They all work together to provide patients with the highest quality cancer care.
The Regional Cancer Center is at the forefront of advanced technology for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Our state-of-the-art facility offers digital mammography, PET/CT imaging, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, minimally invasive surgical techniques including da Vinci® Surgery, the computer-guided Trilogy™ System for radiosurgery, Mammosite®, and other advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies.
Navigators are specially trained registered nurses who work as liaisons between patients and care providers. They coordinate appointments, and provide personalized assistance to patients and families during cancer treatment.
In addition to treatment, patients are offered a full spectrum of wellness services including Tai Chi and yoga, nutrition programs, the Image Recovery Center, physical therapy, social services, and survivorship programs that offer support for life after cancer.
An active clinical trials program provides patients with the latest treatment, prevention, and risk assessment protocols available. Our Institutional Review Board carefully reviews and approves all clinical trails offered at the McGlinn Family Regional Cancer Center.
Committed to providing the best in cancer care and treatment, our program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), Committee on Stereotactic Breast Biopsy for Mammotest, and Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) for outpatient hematology-oncology. The McGlinn Family Regional Cancer Center consistently meets or exceeds the national standard of care guidelines set by these agencies.
