Since we opened our doors in downtown Reading in 1868, The Reading Hospital and Medical Center has been a leader in providing compassionate and innovative healthcare services to the people who live and work in Berks County. Our growth from a small three-story hospital then into the major medical center of today is a story of a vibrant partnership between The Reading Hospital and the businesses, organizations, and individuals in our community.

How You Can Help

Contributions are used to purchase patient care equipment, to initiate clinical services that keep the Hospital on the cutting edge of health care, or to support programs aimed at promoting health and wellbeing in our community.

You may make a donation as a tribute to someone important to you.
You may direct your gift to a particular department (example: our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) or special program (example: cancer education).

Credit Transactions – please provide us with the following information
- your name as it appears on the credit card
- type of card: Visa or Mastercard
- complete account number
- expiration date of the card
- amount of your donation

2. Do you want your gift to be a tribute to someone special?

memorial: please tell us the deceased individual’s name and the name/address of the person you would like notified of your tribute
honorarium: please tell us this person’s name and address so we can notify him or her of your tribute

NOTE: we disclose your thoughtfulness only – never the amount of your tribute

3. Do you want your donation to be restricted for a special department or service?

please include the name of the department or service when making your contribution.

Acknowledging Your Donation

Receipts will be mailed in acknowledgement of all gifts to The Reading Hospital and Medical Center Development Fund.
Donations at the levels listed here will also be acknowledged with Club membership.
- $100: Century Club
- $250: Leadership Club
- $500: President’s Club
- $1,000: Tower Club
Memorials/Honorariums: the names of individuals honored or memorialized by donations will be listed in the Hospital’s Around the Clock magazine.
