Nursing Program

The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences Nursing Program offers a Registered Nurse diploma program and admits new classes in late August of each year.

For nearly 120 years, the Nursing Program has educated women and men who have gone on to serve in a variety of fields in nursing, both here at The Reading Hospital and in locations around the globe. The Nursing Program is located on the main campus of The Reading Hospital in West Reading, Pennsylvania.

Accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, the Nursing Program offers education in specialization areas, including pediatrics, maternity, oncology, and intensive care.

The Nursing Program is affiliated with Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Physical sciences, biological sciences, behavioral sciences, and English composition are taught at the School of Health Sciences by Kutztown University faculty. This affiliation enables Nursing Program students to qualify for RN-BSN completion programs.

Because of the agreement with Kutztown University, School of Health Sciences students who earn a Registered Nurse diploma and pass the NCLEX examination are guaranteed admission with advanced standing at the junior level in the Bachelor of Science degree program in Nursing at Kutztown.

The relationships between the schools to this agreement is that of independent contractors and not construed to constitute a partnership, joint venture, or any other relationship, other than that of independent contractors. Financial aid, tuition, fees, and all financial aspects of the attending the Nursing Program at The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences are administered through The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences and should not be construed as part of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrollment.
