The Reading Hospital's Travel Immunization Service provides vaccinations recommended and required for travel to certain overseas locations. The most frequently given vaccines are hepatitis A, tetanus and diphtheria, yellow fever, typhoid, polio, menomune, and hepatitis B. The service also provides pre-travel advice on food and water precautions, general safe traveling tips, and malaria prevention information. Patients often include missionary workers, business executives, routine vacationers, adventure travelers, and students studying abroad. However, the service does not treat post-travel ailments. To ensure immunization effectiveness, please contact us as soon as you have established your travel plans.
